The League of Women Voters is:
A nonpartisan
political organization, encourages the informed and active participation
of citizens in government and influences public policy through education
and advocacy.
The
League does not support any political party or candidate:
We discuss and study issues of local, regional, state and national concerns.
We
inform ourselves, legislators and the general public about the results
of our research.
We
lobby for passage of laws we support and for the defeat of those we oppose,
based on League positions.
We
monitor elections and government activities.

Society at Riverside Boulevard.
Oct. 24 7:30 PM Candidates Forum at the Long Beach Public Library at 7:30
PM. All candidates for City Council are invited.
Nov. 7 6 AM - 9 PM Election Day Nov. 8 TBA Post election Lunch
Nov. 28 TBA A briefing on the effects of war on women around the world
